The President of the Republic spouts some of his frequent nonsense, and the powerful Mexican television corporation is obliged to help their friend and ally avoid yet another image and popularity crisis. To divert attention, the TV station’s prime-time news show discloses a shocking video that involves Governor Carmelo Vargas in horrifying crimes and major illegal businesses. “Gover Vargas,” concerned about his political future, negotiates a secret, billion-dollar deal with the owners of the TV station. Carlos Rojo, a young, ambitious news producer; Ricardo Díaz, the station’s superstar reporter; and Javier Pérez Harris, the anchor man, are assigned to change the “Gover’s” image and turn this corrupt, farcical character into a dazzling political star and possible candidate for the Presidency.
