Raimunda works and lives in Madrid with her lazy, drunken husband, Paco, and her 14-year-old daughter. Her sister, Sole, lives nearby and runs a hairstyling business out of her apartment. Their parents died several years before in a house fire. A former neighbor from their hometown reports that she has seen the ghost of their mother, Irene, but the sisters do not believe her, until she appears in Sole’s apartment to help her with the clients and get to know her granddaughter. She dares not reveal herself to Raimunda, from whom she has been estranged for years. After a murder and the efforts to hide a body, Irene tells Raimunda she is back. Before all the women can reconcile, some secrets about the night of the fire and even older ones must be revealed.
